Alien registration materials, 1916-1918.

Registration forms completed in 1916 by William Butler Yeats, Ezra Pound, and Dorothy Pound; a Register of aliens, completed in an unidentified hand, with corresponding entries for Ezra and Dorothy Pound (as well as four entries for Bertha Sedgwick dated 1917-1918) on pages [2] and [3]; a Notice to keepers of hotels, inns, boarding houses, and lodging houses, County of East Sussex, concerning the Aliens Restriction (Consolidation) Order of 1916; an undated newspaper clipping titled Alien friends; and a typescript letter (21 February 1970, B.P. to bookseller Anthony Rota) that provides some background information on the materials and on the stay of the Pounds and Yeats in Sussex (where the register and registration forms were completed).
